| | Floating Support Amman Valley Women's Aid Floating Support project started in November 2002 building to its capacity of 8 places by February 2003. The scheme has been full to capacity since February 2003 and has consistently held a long waiting list. Our Community office opened in January 2004, and the demand for Floating Support increased and the waiting list lengthened accordingly. Read More... | | Childrens Floating Support Children on the Floating Support scheme are supported by our qualified child worker, who has been in post since September 2004. Floating Support is funded through the Supporting People Revenue Grant and covers 20 hours of work per week with children aged up to 16 years. Read More... | | | | Refuge (Womens Support) Amman Valley Women's Aid Refuge has been in operation since July 1997, we can accommodate four families at any given time. A very high level of support, information and opportunities for empowerment are provided throughout the length of their stay. Read More... | | Refuge (Family Support) In addition to supporting the women in the refuge we also have a support worker who works with the children in the Refuge, and works closely with mothers supporting them with any children’s issues.
